Public Interest Partners empowers the nonprofit and education sectors to collaborate with independent local news and public broadcast media to co-create and lead a high-impact and self-sustaining social services sector dedicated to serving the common good. The enterprise can form the connective media tissue of the evolving philanthropy ecosystem through a coalition of philanthropy infrastructure organizations and the associations that serve them.
We apply the principles of Service Science to achieve Service Innovation, as demonstrated by the outcomes and impact of services creation, distribution and delivery. The process involves the co-creation of new and improved services by the social sector for the benefit of those individuals and communities it serves.
We seek to advance the enterprise through community engagement and fund the process through community reinvestment and catalytic philanthropy, which includes the leveraging of durable capital. We extend grateful attribution to Lever for Change, which defines durable capital as long-term, flexible funding that allows nonprofit organizations to build the infrastructure, capacity and staff required to achieve their most ambitious goals.
Our goal is to bridge the emerging fields and diverse academic and professional disciplines of public interest technology, journalism, communications and law. We envision the workforces of these fields being composed of diversely-skilled individuals, including the intended beneficiaries of the public and private sector education, workforce and library systems.
