About

Public Interest Partners applies the principles of Service Science and Enterprise Capital to help achieve diverse and large scale societal objectives. We work to increase and diversify the societal outcomes and impact of a science philanthropy service system that aligns and advances the Philanthropic Ecosystem the Responsible Technology Ecosystem and the Innovation Ecosystem. We recognize digital equity as a central catalyst in the development of a regenerative economy.

A service system is a dynamic configuration of people, technology, organizations, and shared information connected by internal and external value propositions. Service-Dominant (S-D) Logic, the foundational philosophy of service science, applies specialized skills, knowledge and technology to an enterprise for the benefit of another. The process can also help to shape public policy by informing and illuminating the processes, outcomes and impact of Service Innovation and Enterprise Capital through data journalism and solutions stortyelling.

Our focus areas include the emerging fields of public interest technology, journalism, communications and law.Public Interest Technology University Network can expand the ComPITefieldsnce Project to play a vital role in the process with a focus on education, work-based and service learning, human resource and workforce development across all public interest fields and their diverse academic and professional disciplines. Public Interest Journalism can utilize national, state and local news media and cross-sector Public Interest Communications to stimulate bipartisan public policy discourse.

Public Interest Law, a dynamic, diverse and expanding field, plays a vital role in our collaboration with the Education Industry Network. Public interest law has a rich tradition of moral and ethical inquiry into the values that guide legal practice and has much to offer to the comparatively younger field of public interest technology. In fact, public interest law was the model on which the Public Interest Technology University Network was founded in 2018.

Public Interest Partners is also exploring ways to advance the transfer, licensing and commercialization of public interest technology through Translational Service Research & Design Methodology. The process can accelerate the transformation of scientific service research insights into actionable knowledge and services.

The strategy can also provide a collaborative environment for technologists, scientists, journalists and others in academia and across all industries and sectors to co-create technological systems that help to achieve diverse societal goals and objectives. We work to bridge the gap between theory and practice, co-create sustainable solutions to diverse and large-scale societal problems.
